Applicants for this course must demonstrate English proficiency by either scoring 25 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or 20 in any other English in Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) English Units 3 and 4, obtaining an overall IELTS score of 6.0 with no individual band below 6.0, or presenting alternative evidence as outlined in the guidelines.
Year 12 Graduates: English Requirement: Score at least 25 in English EAL or 20 in English. Mathematics Requirement: Attain a score of at least 20 in Maths: Mathematical Methods, Maths: Specialist Mathematics, or Maths: General Mathematics.
Completion of at least two bachelor-level or above units with evidence of mathematical ability equivalent to the Year 12 maths prerequisite.
Completion of certificate IV or higher in a related discipline, or completion of a diploma or higher in any discipline, or at least 50% completion of a diploma or higher in a related discipline. Evidence of mathematical ability equivalent to the Year 12 maths prerequisite is also required.
For those who finished Year 12 more than three years ago or did not finish Year 12, admission may be considered based on work, volunteer, and life experience. A personal statement outlining motivation, education, employment history, and how the course aligns with career aspirations is required. Evidence of mathematical ability equivalent to the Year 12 maths prerequisite is necessary.
