The Graduate Certificate of Cyber Security is designed for students looking to advance their computer science knowledge, leveraging their prior qualifications or industry experience. Focused on identifying flaws in software and web applications, a key feature is the integration of industry-supported project-based learning for practical, hands-on experience.
Applicants must fulfill one of the following criteria for eligibility: Possess a Bachelor's degree in a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, or Mathematics) discipline. Hold a non-STEM Bachelor's degree and have a minimum of 3 years of industry experience in web development, cybersecurity, software development, or related fields. Have a non-STEM Bachelor's degree and a Certificate IV or higher in a cybersecurity-related field.
Applicants will be evaluated for program admission based on relevant industry experience and academic capabilities by the Head of the Academic Unit or a delegate, following School principles. Submission of a curriculum vitae (CV) and supporting documents detailing roles, durations, and evidence of formal and non-formal learning is required. It's important to note that if relevant experience is used for admission, no further credit will be granted. This process ensures a thorough assessment of applicants' qualifications.
