The application can be submitted through the Kent State Application or the Common Application, and a non-refundable $50 application fee is required.
International first-year applicants to Kent State must show English proficiency through tests like TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, PTE, SAT, or ACT. Conditional admission is possible based on academic standards, and waivers may apply depending on educational background and country-specific criteria.
International first-year applicants to Kent State University must have completed secondary school in their home country by the time of enrollment, which is equivalent to finishing senior high school in the U.S. If a student has previously enrolled in a post-secondary (higher education) institution, they are required to apply as a transfer student.
