Deakin’s Bachelor of Business Analytics propels students into the dynamic field of business insights. This hands-on program, Victoria’s longest-running in its category, hones practical skills for interpreting data and solving complex organizational issues. With real-world projects and industry tools, students become adept business analytics translators, benefiting from strategic partnerships with industry leaders like IBM, Deloitte, and PwC. The result is a degree finely tuned to meet the evolving needs of the business landscape.
Applicants for this course must demonstrate English proficiency by either scoring 25 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or 20 in any other English in Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) English Units 3 and 4, obtaining an overall IELTS score of 6.0 with no individual band below 6.0, or presenting alternative evidence as outlined in the guidelines.
The eligibility criteria vary for different applicant profiles: Senior Certificate of Education: For Year 12 students or those who completed it in the last two years, meeting specified criteria in English EAL or English is required.
Applicants with post-secondary education need successful completion of at least two credit points in an equivalent bachelor degree.
Polytechnic study applicants need either a certificate IV or higher in a related discipline, completion of a diploma or higher in any field, or at least 50% completion of a diploma or higher in a related field for admission. A minimum score of 55 on the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) Multiple Choice is required for those who haven't completed senior secondary education in the last ten years, unless they have undertaken tertiary study (minimum certificate IV) within the same timeframe.
Applicants without recent Year 12 completion may be admitted based on work and life experience. A cover letter detailing motivation, education, and career goals is required, akin to a job application. A minimum score of 55 on the STAT Multiple Choice is mandatory, except for those with recent tertiary study (minimum certificate IV).
