Conestoga’s “Cloud Development and Operations” program is a two-semester certificate course emphasizing specialized skills in cloud computing and DevOps. It covers modern practices like CI/CD, configuration management, and cloud infrastructure, empowering students to streamline processes and make informed business decisions. The program highlights effective data management for a competitive edge, while also focusing on client needs and fostering collaborative environments for future growth.
Applicants need an Ontario College diploma, advanced diploma, degree, or equivalent with a minimum B average (as assessed to Ontario standards, by country) in areas such as computer science, software engineering, software engineering technology, computer programmer/analyst, or IT innovation and design. Alternatively, a B average in a graduate certificate in computer applications development or mobile solutions development (as assessed to Ontario standards, by country) is also acceptable. Other relevant disciplines, like health informatics with substantial software development content, may be considered.
Applicants with non-English instructional backgrounds must submit English proficiency test scores, including TOEFL iBT 88, IELTS 6.5, CAEL 70, PTE Academic 58, CELT Band 6, Cambridge Exams 180, or equivalent. A language program is available for those below the admission standard. Completion of ELS level 4 with an 80% average and no grade below 75% qualifies for admission to the degree program. Placement in the ELS program is based on in-house test scores or TOEFL/IELTS results.
Domestic applicants with non-Canadian transcripts must undergo a credential evaluation through an approved provider. A Comprehensive or Course-by-Course Report is required for application to this programs.
