The Monash University Master of Data Science program offers expert-level training to manage, analyze, and process data. Students learn from top IT experts and develop skills in data analysis, project planning, and ethical considerations. The program focuses on real-world applications, preparing graduates to make a positive impact in various fields by addressing global challenges and influencing strategic decisions.
For Monash University admission, meeting minimum entry requirements is crucial but doesn't guarantee acceptance due to competition. Courses may have extra prerequisites. Applicants must fulfill English language requirements, hold Australian or overseas qualifications (assessed case by case), and provide scored or graded results. Certified translations are preferred for non-English qualifications. Uncertain applicants can still apply, and results will be assessed for eligibility.
Monash University's Master of Data Science has two entry levels for international students. Entry Level 1 requires an Australian bachelor's degree or its equivalent with a 60% credit average, irrespective of the field. Entry Level 2 mandates an Australian bachelor's degree or equivalent in a relevant IT-related discipline or a business, engineering, or science degree with an IT major. A 60% credit average is necessary, along with specific coursework in python programming, databases, algorithms, and mathematics.
For international applicants to Monash University, meeting Level A English entry requirements is crucial. This involves achieving an IELTS (Academic) score of 6.5 overall, with minimum band scores of Listening 6.0, Reading 6.0, Writing 6.0, and Speaking 6.0. Alternatively, a Pearson Test of English (Academic) score of 58 overall, with minimum scores of Listening 50, Reading 50, Speaking 50, and Writing 50, is accepted. The TOEFL Internet-based test requires an overall score of 79, with minimum scores of Reading 13, Listening 12, Speaking 18, and Writing 21.
