Entry requirements for University

Program Device Requirements

All students entering this program must: have a laptop computer that meets minimum specified requirements own and maintain their laptop bring their laptop on the first day of classes.

Academic Performance

The admission requirements for this program include a three-year or longer diploma or degree from an accredited college or university in the field of computer science and/or software engineering. Alternatively, candidates with three to five years of relevant full-time work experience in software development are also eligible. The ranking of applicants will be determined through an assessment of academic performance, the duration and level of the degree/diploma, as well as the discipline of the degree/diploma.

Language Requirements

Non-English degree holders need TOEFL iBT 88 (no skill below 22), IELTS 6.5 (no bands below 6.0), CAEL 70 (no sub-test below 60), PTE Academic 58, CELT Band 6, Cambridge Exams 180 (no score below 170), or equivalent. A language program is available for those below standards. Completing ELS level 4 with 80% average and no grade below 75% allows admission to the degree program, placement determined by in-house or TOEFL/IELTS scores.

For Domestic Applicants

Domestic applicants with non-Canadian transcripts must get them evaluated by an approved credential evaluation service for equivalency.
