All applicants, regardless of citizenship, must demonstrate English proficiency. Exam requirements include TOEFL iBT (61), IELTS (6.0), Duolingo (90), ACT (18 in English/Reading), SAT (480 ERW for 2016 & later; 450 Critical Reading & 450 Writing for pre-2016), Cambridge English (169), MELAB (79%), PTEA (50). Exemptions are possible for those with transfer credit equivalent to ENG 101 with a grade of C or better, completion of an approved ESL program, or possessing a U.S. high school diploma or post-secondary degree from an accredited English language institution.
Applicants are required to submit the equivalent of a U.S. high school diploma, verified through an official NACES member credential evaluation report. ACT/SAT scores are mandatory for specific programs and merit-based scholarships. Additionally, proof of MMR vaccination is a post-admission requirement.
First-time freshmen require an ACT composite score of 21 (or SAT 1060) and an ACT mathematics score of 24 (or SAT math section score of 570) for admission into the Computer Science major.
