The two-year Computer Programming diploma program is tailored for students seeking quick proficiency in business application development. Emphasizing problem-solving with Microsoft, Java, and open-source software, the curriculum integrates key techniques. Students learn through theory, hands-on projects, and a final capstone group project, gaining practical experience in the complete application development cycle.
Admission to the Computer Programming diploma program requires an Ontario Secondary School Diploma (OSSD) or equivalent, or mature student status. Essential criteria include Grade 12 English (C or U) or Conestoga College Preparatory Communications (COMM1251), along with Grade 12 Mathematics (C or U) or Conestoga College Preparatory Mathematics (MATH1375). Minimum grades, such as 60% for MCT4C and MAP4C, 50% for MHF4U, MCV4U, MDM4U, and 60% for MATH1375, must be met.
