Privacy Policy

Last updated: 23 October 2026

This policy explains how Spiible handles your personal information when you visit this site, join our community, apply for a course or talk to our team. It follows the Australian Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs), and the privacy laws of the countries where our users live, such as Brazil and Colombia.

In short

  • We use your information to answer you, run your community account, process your course applications and, if you agree, send you news.
  • Analytics and advertising cookies only run if you accept them in the cookie notice. You can change your choice at any time.
  • We share information with the education providers you apply to and with the suppliers that run the site and our service. We do not sell personal information.
  • You can ask to access, correct or delete your information at [email protected].

1. Who we are

2. What we collect

Information you give us

  • Contact and enquiry forms: name, surname, email, phone or WhatsApp, country, destination, course and dates of interest, and your message.
  • Community account: name, email, password (stored encrypted), profile details and photo, and the courses, events and content you interact with.
  • Course applications: the personal, academic and professional details and documents the education provider asks for, such as passport, transcripts, English test results and CV.
  • Events: name, email, phone and the event you registered for.
  • Refer and Win: your details and those of the friend you refer (name, email and phone). Only refer someone who agreed to hear from us.
  • Support: the content of your conversations with us by chat, WhatsApp and email.

Some applications or visas require sensitive information, such as health details for insurance. We only collect it with your consent, or where a law of the destination country requires it, and only for that purpose.

Information collected automatically

  • IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, date and time, and where you came from (for example, an ad or a search).
  • Cookies and similar technologies, according to the choice you make in the cookie notice. See our Cookie Policy.

Information from others

  • Education providers and partners, about the progress of your application.
  • Social media lead forms, such as on Facebook and Instagram, when you fill them in to contact Spiible.

You can use the site without telling us who you are. If you do not give us the information a form asks for, we may not be able to provide that service.

3. Why we use it

  • To answer your enquiry and give you the course and study advice you asked for.
  • To run your community account and the features you use.
  • To prepare and send your applications to education providers and follow them up.
  • To send you newsletters, offers and event invitations, if you agreed. Every email has an unsubscribe link (APP 7).
  • To contact the friend you referred and pay the Refer and Win reward.
  • To measure how the site is used and how our ads perform, if you accepted those cookies.
  • To keep the site secure and prevent fraud and spam.
  • To meet our legal obligations and defend our rights.

4. Who we share it with

  • Education providers, accommodation, insurers and partners at the destination, when you apply or book. They handle your information under their own privacy policies.
  • Spiible teams in Australia, Brazil and Colombia that serve you at each step.
  • Service providers acting on our behalf and under our instructions:
    • Zoho Corporation: customer records (CRM), chat, forms, email and site heatmaps;
    • Google: analytics (Google Analytics), site tools (Tag Manager), advertising (Google Ads), bot protection (reCAPTCHA) and fonts;
    • Meta: Facebook and Instagram advertising (Pixel and Conversions API) and WhatsApp;
    • Hostinger (site hosting) and Cloudflare (delivery network and security);
    • other technology providers, such as email delivery, file storage and process automation, always under contract.
  • Authorities, when the law or a court requires it.

We do not sell your personal information.

5. Overseas disclosure

Your information is likely to be disclosed to recipients outside Australia: our offices in Brazil and Colombia; service providers in the United States and other countries where they store data; and, when you apply, education providers in the countries you choose, such as Canada, Ireland, the United Kingdom, Malta, Spain, New Zealand and the United States. We take reasonable steps, including contracts, so that these recipients protect your information in a way consistent with the APPs. Where the law of your country requires it, we rely on standard contractual clauses or on the transfer being necessary for the service you asked for.

6. How long we keep it

  • Enquiries and leads: up to 5 years after our last contact, or sooner if you ask us to delete them.
  • Community accounts: while the account is active and up to 2 years after your last sign-in.
  • Clients and applications: during the service and up to 7 years afterwards, for legal, tax and dispute purposes.
  • Cookie consent records: 5 years, as proof of your choice.

After that, we delete or de-identify the information.

7. Access, correction and your other rights

You can ask us at any time to access the personal information we hold about you and to correct it (APPs 12 and 13). You can also ask us to delete it, to stop using it for marketing, or to withdraw a consent you gave. We may need to confirm your identity first. We answer within 30 days. There is no charge for asking.

Depending on where you live, you have additional rights:

  • Brazil (LGPD): confirmation, access, correction, anonymisation or deletion, portability, information about sharing, withdrawal of consent and objection. We answer within 15 days. You can complain to the ANPD (gov.br/anpd).
  • Colombia (Law 1581 of 2012): know, update and rectify your data, request proof of your authorisation, revoke it, and complain to the SIC (sic.gov.co) after contacting us. We answer queries within 10 business days and claims within 15.
  • European Union and United Kingdom (GDPR): access, rectification, erasure, restriction, portability and objection. We rely on consent for marketing emails and non-essential cookies, on contract for applications and accounts, and on legitimate interests for security and referrals. You can complain to your local data protection authority.

To make a request, email [email protected].

8. Cookies

We use necessary cookies to run the site and, only with your permission, functional, analytics and marketing cookies. You choose in the notice shown on your first visit and can change it at any time: manage cookies. The full list is in our Cookie Policy.

9. Security

We protect information with encrypted connections (HTTPS), access limited to the staff who need it, backups and site monitoring. No system is completely secure. If a data breach is likely to cause you serious harm, we will notify you and the relevant authority, as the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme and other applicable laws require.

10. Children

Our community and courses are for adults. If you are under 18, please ask a parent or guardian to contact us; we only handle the information of minors with their consent.

11. Links to other sites

The site links to education providers, partners and social networks. Their own privacy policies apply once you leave our site.

12. Complaints

If you think we have not handled your information properly, email [email protected]. We will reply within 30 days. If you are not satisfied, you can complain to the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner (oaic.gov.au) or to the authority in your country listed in section 7.

13. Changes to this policy

We may update this policy when the site, our services or our providers change. The date at the top shows the latest version. If a change is significant, we will tell you on this site and, where the law requires it, ask for your consent again.
