The Computer Science program offers a focused track in IoT, covering software development and specialized areas like AI, Cybersecurity, and Data Science. Admission to the course requires successful completion of the Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) or an equivalent tertiary qualification. Guaranteed entry is granted for those meeting or surpassing the ATAR Guaranteed Entry Score and fulfilling prerequisites. Applicants with a lower ATAR may still be considered, with potential adjustments based on subject bonuses or equity schemes. Refer to the course handbook for detailed entry information.
To enroll in the course, applicants need a minimum study score of 25 in any English (excluding EAL) or 30 in English as Alternate Language (EAL) for VCE Units 3 and 4. For VCE Units 1 and 2, satisfactory completion in two units of any Mathematics or equivalent is required. Those without the required mathematics background must complete Swinburne’s MathsLink Further Mathematics bridging program
