or admission to the Bachelor of Cyber Security (Honours) at Deakin University, candidates must meet specific criteria based on their educational background: Year 12 Students: Prospective students currently in Year 12 or those who completed it within the last two years need to meet criteria including a study score of at least 25 in English EAL or at least 20 in English.
If applicants have undertaken higher education studies post-secondary schooling, successful completion of at least two bachelor level or above units is required for consideration.
Those with Vocational Education and Training (VET) study after secondary school must meet criteria such as completing a certificate IV or higher in a related discipline.
Individuals who completed Year 12 over three years ago or did not finish it, and have no further study, may be considered based on work, volunteer, or life experience. A personal statement outlining motivation, education, employment history, and career aspirations is required for consideration.
Applicants for this course must demonstrate English proficiency by either scoring 25 in English as an Additional Language (EAL) or 20 in any other English in Victorian Certificate of Education (VCE) English Units 3 and 4, obtaining an overall IELTS score of 6.0 with no individual band below 6.0, or presenting alternative evidence as outlined in the guidelines.
