The admission requirements for Pittsburg State University entail a minimum GPA of 2.5 on a 4.0 scale and possession of a high school diploma for high school applicants, while international applicants must present a minimum GPA of 2.5 from an accredited international post-secondary institution. Transfer students from U.S. colleges need a minimum GPA of 2.0 with at least 24 credit hours completed. Notably, international students are not obligated to submit ACT or SAT scores for admission.
Applicants must provide passing scores from TOEFL, IELTS, PTE, or Duolingo English Test. TOEFL requires a minimum score of 68 (iBT), IELTS an overall score of 6.0, PTE an overall score of 47, and Duolingo an overall score of 100. Some programs may require higher scores. Scores must be submitted electronically to the university.
Must provide an English translated copy of the school catalog or copy of the course descriptions from the catalog to aid in the evaluation of transfer credit.
