The Computer Systems Technology program aims to train professionals in managing computer systems and creating applications across diverse environments. Students cultivate both technical expertise and communication skills to effectively engage in collaborative project work.
Non-native English speakers applying to Illinois State University must provide recent TOEFL, IELTS, or Duolingo English Test scores. Minimum requirements: TOEFL iBT 79, TOEFL Essentials 8.5, IELTS 6.5, Duolingo 105. Higher scores may be needed for certain graduate programs. Initial review accepts scanned scores, but official scores must be sent directly from the testing agencies or confirmed upon acceptance.
International students must provide unofficial academic records (in the original language and translated to English), an English proficiency score, and a passport.
Additional documentation requirements for international students vary by category: Freshmen generally do not need SAT or ACT scores unless they have attended a U.S. high school for over three years; Transfer students must provide prerequisite college coursework and demonstrate good academic standing; Graduate students should submit GRE or GMAT scores if applicable, along with degree certificates or diplomas and any relevant supplementary documents.
