The Master’s program focuses on elevating students to a master’s level of proficiency in Data Science. It covers applied modules in Data Science Fundamentals, Methods, and Computer Science, emphasizing practical skills and predictive analysis. The curriculum explores new technologies like Parallel Computing and Cognitive Computing. Additionally, students enhance Digital Leadership, develop consulting skills, and deepen research methods through practical projects.
For admission to all programs, non-native English speakers need a minimum English proficiency of C1 (CEFR), accepted through various certificates such as IELTS (7.0-8.0), TOEFL (iBT 108-120, CBT 263-300, PBT 627-677, ITP Level 1 627-677), Cambridge English (CAE, BEC Higher), IGCSE (average C1), TOEIC (945-990, Speaking 180-200, Writing 180-200), Telc C1 Certificates, and UNIcert III. A final GPA of 2.5 or higher (German grading system) is required, but lower GPAs may be considered with a letter of recommendation. English as the language of instruction during previous studies is also accepted.
To enroll in the Data Science M.Sc. program, a minimum of 180 ECTS credits in a relevant field, such as Data Science, Maths, Statistics, Business Informatics, or Computer Sciences, is required. Applicants with diplomas in other fields may be considered, subject to the examination board's evaluation of individual qualifications, including work experience and certificates.
