All Marshall University applicants, regardless of citizenship, must meet English proficiency requirements. Minimum scores for graduate exams include TOEFL iBT (80), IELTS (6.5), Duolingo (105), MELAB (82%), and PTEA (53). Exemptions apply for those with transfer credit equivalent to ENG 101 with a grade of C or better or successful completion of an approved ESL program, like the Marshall University English Language Institute.
Applicants need a four-year Bachelor’s degree with a GPA of 2.75 or higher in Computer Science or related fields for full admission. Others may be conditionally accepted, completing three bridge courses (CS 210, CS 410, STA 345) successfully in the first two semesters. Final acceptance is determined by the division chair based on the application and transcripts.
