The M.S. in Cybersecurity program provides students with skills for cybersecurity careers and prepares those aiming for Ph.D. studies. The curriculum covers advanced topics like cryptography, cybersecurity policy, risk management, and utilizes the latest security tools and technologies.
To join the M.S. in Cybersecurity program, a four-year bachelor’s degree with a minimum GPA of 2.75 is required. For those with non-related majors, conditional admission includes completing three specified bridge courses. Foreign applicants need English proficiency (IELTS 6.5 or TOEFL IBT 80/550 paper-based) and must fulfill all admission criteria before starting the program. The final decision rests with the Chair of the Department of Computer Sciences and Electrical Engineering.
All Marshall University applicants, regardless of citizenship, must meet English proficiency requirements. Minimum scores for graduate exams include TOEFL iBT (80), IELTS (6.5), Duolingo (105), MELAB (82%), and PTEA (53). Exemptions apply for those with transfer credit equivalent to ENG 101 with a grade of C or better or successful completion of an approved ESL program, like the Marshall University English Language Institute.
