The BSc (Hons) Computing (AI) at the University of Suffolk offers a specialized pathway within computing. It focuses on practical skills, utilizing the DigiTech Centre and industry resources. Students can start an AI business through the Innovation Centre, gaining real-world experience. The curriculum covers foundational and advanced topics in data science, AI, programming, and cybersecurity, preparing students for successful careers.
For the 2024/25 academic year, applicants to the BSc (Hons) Computing program must meet the following requirements: achieve 112 UCAS Points, with BBC or above in A-Levels, DMM or above in BTEC, Merit or higher in T Level; pass Access to HE Diploma; and hold GCSEs at Grade C/4 or above in English and Maths. Applicants not meeting these criteria may still be considered based on their overall application and chosen course.
For non-native English speakers, an IELTS score of 6.0 overall with a minimum of 5.5 in all components is required. If the applicant has been living in the UK for two years or more, they must hold GCSE English at Grade C or above (grades 4-9 for the new GCSEs) or the relevant Level 2 equivalent. Specific entry requirements may vary based on the applicant's country of permanent residence.
